The duodenal switch and loop duodenal switch are the most effective treatments for type II diabetes and weight loss.
Dr. Long spends time with each patient to choose the option that is most likely to result in long term weight loss success.
A new post-operative pain management protocol has been implemented which effectively eliminates more than 90% of post-operative pain and decreases the need for narcotics.

Located on the campus of
Parker Adventist Hospital, BMCC can maximize your ability to achieve success by utilizing the extensive resources available.
The American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS) Center of Excellence designation recognizes surgical programs with a demonstrated track record of favorable outcomes in bariatric surgery.
To earn a Center of Excellence designation, Parker Adventist Hospital undergoes a series of site inspections during which all aspects of the program’s surgical processes are closely examined and data on health outcomes are collected.
Once a month we hold an informational seminar where you will learn about the different types of surgery. It is a great opportunity to meet the surgeon and have some of your preliminary questions answered. There are no expectations, no commitments - it is solely about teaching the community about weight loss surgery and letting the public know what is available to them.
